What is Naturally Austin
Naturally Austin is a nonprofit organization that functions as the industry association and community convener for the consumer package goods industry in Central Texas. Our mission is to stimulate conscious growth, foster responsible and sustainable entrepreneurship, and develop exceptional leaders while growing the CPG ecosystem. Naturally Austin was founded in 2019 and is one of 8 affiliate cities that make up the Naturally Network.
Consumer package goods are fast-moving products that can be purchased by consumers that need regular replenishment and can be purchased online, in the grocery store, at farmer’s markets, or other retailers. It includes products like sparkling waters, beer, juices, and smoothie kits, to snack bars, chips and salsas, probiotics, household cleaning supplies, beauty products, and more. Austin is a hotbed of CPG innovation and a dynamic CPG ecosystem full of amazing brands that range from startups with products being sold locally, to brands with global distribution and name recognition.
To fulfill our mission of growing our local industry, we operate programs that align the ecosystem around the values we want to foster and offer a regular cadence of educational and networking events. This is where you come in!

The Naturally Austin Community Engagement Manager is an integral role for our organization that is focused on two key areas - supporting and operating our existing programs as well as leading community engagement and management. Programs and events that meaningfully bring people together to learn, connect, and grow is at the heart of what we do. This role will have an impact in almost every aspect of how we fulfill our mission and how our community experiences our brand. We are looking for candidates that align with our values and approach to our work - inclusion, leadership, transparency, empowerment, curiosity, collaboration, an entrepreneurial spirit, and doing good for people and planet. This role works directly and reports to our Executive Director and operates alongside our creative contractor. Full-time job seekers preferred.
What You’ll Do
Creating or refining the operational and marketing playbooks for programs as needed
Supporting the management of stakeholders for each program through communication tools and assets. This includes maintenance communication, onboarding events, briefing books, etc. Stakeholders include Members, Fellows, Mentors, Corporate Members and Partners.
Support marketing efforts by collaborating with the creative contractor to implement and maintain the marketing schedule and work with stakeholders to collect all needed assets and information
Program lead on the M/O Fellowship - Launching and implementing the M/O Fellowship application and selection process, creating and refining program tools and assets, interfacing with Fellows and Mentors as needed, managing education logistics and speakers, supporting and managing logistics for the M/O Showcase
General Events - Support the success of Naturally Austin’s Forum leads and a regular event schedule, facilitating the monthly Forum leads meetings, contributing to topic ideas to that advance our mission and support for members
Gather and maintain program and participant data to create impact reports and program refinements
Work with other Naturally Network Affiliates and the Naturally Network ED and participate in the Best Practices Committee and support key collaborative events throughout the year.
Who You Are
Can commit to a minimum of 25 hours a week of time. Full time is preferred.
Have some experience operating programs and successfully working with varied stakeholders. Bonus if you’ve run a fellowship or accelerator program
Have some experience managing meeting and event logistics - in-person and virtual.
Well-organized and ability to prioritize workload
Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills - you’ll be interfacing with business leaders, board members, partners and members from our community daily
Comfortable with autonomy and owning all aspects of a task or project while being able to communicate well with a fast-moving team.
A self-starter outlook who isn’t afraid to ask clarifying questions or make suggestions to make what we are working on better
General understanding and experience with social media and email marketing
Excited to learn more about running programs and immersing yourself in the consumer goods ecosystem
Nice to Have:
Experience working with large groups of stakeholders or a membership environment
Has had some experience supporting fundraising and sponsorship fulfillment
Has some experience working in operational and marketing tools like Asana, Airtable, Gsuite, Planoly, Canva, etc.
